Are these good temps for web surfing and gaming?

I have an FX 8320 with the Evo 212+ cpu cooler with a Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 instead of the stock one (because it was rattling and really loud.). When simply at the desktop I sit at about 16-18c and web surfing can get as high as 26c.When gaming, Specifically Borderlands 2 and Warface I get around 25-37c. Do these sound ok? All of my fan slots (5) are filled with insignia fans and a default red one that came with the case (SPEC-01). What do you guys think? All of the high temps are guesstimates, I get to the temp monitor as quick as I can and it seems to go down slightly before I get there so when I see it, it's at lets say 20c after playing borderlands 2 but if I check quicker before it drops it'll say around 37c like I said. Thanks guys!

My house? Well my heating system says its around 65-70f in my house. Why? I'm really worried about my cpu getting to hot, I heard that if it gets past 60 or so Celsius it'll start to well,.. screw up I guess, fail. Would a water cooler do better?

Can you share what software you're using to monitor the CPU temps?

I'm using a FX-6300 and it was reporting similar below ambient temps. I checked using CoreTemp, HW monitor & SpeedFan. Turns out, there's some issue with the temp sensor or other such something that reports lower temps on most programs but it shows correctly in the BIOS. I figured the temps in CoreTemp were around 14C lower, so I just set an offset for 14C and now it show a reasonably correct temp. I'm not sure if this could be affecting your CPU as well, but might be worth checking out.

Going by your temps, even 14-15C more is still excellent. And as Robert Cook mentioned, you don't need to worry about hitting 60C, my CPU sometimes hits 64C while gaming.

I downloaded it. Im not sure if im looking in the right place but my core temps are at 53-54c? Why are my cores so hot when on the other monitor CPUID it doesnt give me core temps but the package temp is at 21c almost constantly while surfing the web?

Idk if theres anything wrong with the temp sensors. They've almost always been that low besides when I had the evo212+ stock fan on, I had even lower temps than what I have now... around 12-16c. I would check my bios but when I start up my PC it completely skips bios and idk how to get there. It flashes the bios menu but not long enough for me to read.

Don't need a water cooler, those are fine temps.
