Hi there, I'm in the final stages of my build and finally turned the power switch on, but for some reason only one of my Corsair H105 fans is running. I'm using a Y splitter and tried to swap the two fan wires to see if the other one stop working, but for whatever reason the same exact fan still won't turn on.

Someone told me that the problem might be that the fan header on my board might not be supplying enough power. What can I do if this is the case?

Solution
If the same fan fails to work regardless of which connector on the splitter that it's attached to, then the fan is likely the issue. It's fairly common for fans to have broken wiring or cables that have pulled out of their circuit connections. Visually inspect both end of the cable and along the cable for any breaks. If the fan is new, then an RMA is probably the best option.

Two fans should have no problem running on any modern motherboard header using a splitter.
