Oh and also, could my motherboard handle overclocks? It was a pre-built. I had previously upgraded my computer before so I think I know what I am doing. 
Well yes it can, but people have reported problems with the OC software. If you experience any problems just ask the tom's community

Well if you raise the multiplier and nothing happens then the software isnt working.
