Ok to start it off i noticed while playing GTA V there is a bug that detects both video card vrams showing 8gb of vram instead of the 4 or (3.5) usable which should technically be there since vram doesnt stack. When i turn all the settings to max and i start messing with shadow draw distance and everything i am able to get my cards pushing it to the max with all the sliders maxed out and the gta counter is showing 6.5-7gb of vram used because of all the population density and shadows and everything turned up but in reality how is it not crashing or having artifacts due to the low level of vram the cards are supplying? Maybe the gta counter is bugged too and im not really using that much? any help would be appreciated thanks.

(playing at 1080p@120hz 1ms response time if that means anything.)

Solution
It's a bug...VRAM doesn't currently stack. DX12 may eventually have the ability to stack VRAM, but there are no titles that have released yet with DX12 enhancements.

I think you were looking at system memory not VRAM. vram does not and probably will not ever stack as it requires specific API coding which is not feasable from a marketing standpoint.

No it wasnt system memory because raising the settings I touched would not have affected the system memory as much as it did + I watched other videos on it and people refered to it in everyone as vram
