I am looking to upgrade my computer, specifically the CPU, RAM (Dependant on CPU) and GPU (R9 380) and PSU (600W). I am wondering if I should get a 4th gen i5 or 6th gen. If I were to 6th gen I would also need a new motherboard. The question I'm asking is would it be worth upgrading to 6th gen?

Solution
6th gen from intel is the new of technology in processors. its 5-10% performance increase over the 4690K from i5 (But, this not worth the extra cost for DDR4) So, its your choice.

Also, budget? Resolution? Usage? (I'm assuming gaming) which games and which quality?

I am planning to reuse some of my components, my case (Zalman Z9 plus),
My mobo (Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H), my storage (1x Sandisk SSD Plus 120GB, 1x Sandisk SSD Ultra II 480gb and 500GB Seagate Baracuda) and my peripherals.

I am probably going to go for the 4960 (not K) as I have no need to overclock (at this point)
