My current build is:
Mobo: msi 970a-g43 amd
CPU: fx 6300 @ 4.5ghz (CPU is stable, but motherboard gets pretty hot)
GPU: AMD R9 270
PSU: Antec 750W Gold Classic
SSD: 240gb SanDisk

I have around £400 to spend on upgrades
Should I buy:
- i7 4790k and h97 mobo
- i5 4600k and z170 mobo + ddr4 ram
- AMD r9 390/GTX 970

I want a good upgrade path and at the moment I mainly play CS:GO but I would like to start streaming but am worried that upgrading GPU will cause CPU to bottleneck.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

R9 390 why ? see those games which need 4GB Vram the 970 is 3.5 Gb ram and games start to stutter, benchmarks give better results on the r9 390 upto 10-15 more frames in some games, You have allot of vram on the 390 so you can use features like tripple buffering.

The only reasons to get a 970 would be if you factor energy saving more than performance or are looking for Nvidia exclusive features or use cuda for video rendering. GL HF
