I am not the smartest when it comes to knowing a PC inside and out but I will provide you guys with all I can offer.

I have recently started upgrading my PC. I have a new CPU, new Motherboard, new Power Supply and more. After getting everything setup and having all the dirvers installed I turned on CSGO to notice I am only averaging 60 FPS.

Here is my current Build :

- GPU = GIGABYTE GTX 770
- CPU = i7 4790k
- Motherboard = GIGABYTE GA-B85M-DS3H
- Power Supply = Corsair CX Series 850 Watt ATX/EPS Modular
- RAM = 8GB
- OS = Windows 8.1

I do not know if I should be listing more components but If I need to just let me know.

My old build was able to perform better on CS GO averaging around 120 FPS. This old build consisted of the same GPU, RAM, and OS. However contained an older CPU.

Old Build :

CPU = i5 3330
Motherboard = MSI Micro ATX ( Do not recall specific details but can research if needed )
Power Supply = 450 Watts ( Once again do not recall specific details but can research )

Everything else is the same.

I will point out that my original PC was Pre-Built. Could have the original builders added something that is causing this?

As for drivers I believe my GeForce Experience is up to date and I also inserted a disk which came with my Motherboard to install Chipset Drivers.

The only thing I have not looked into is BIOS related issues, however this is due to me lacking knowledge in this area.

Now I know this looks very CS GO specific, but it is the same for all of my games. The FPS is either generally the same or even worse on some. ( CS GO )

I am just very distressed at the moment knwoing that friends of mine with similar builds are out performing me by a longshot. :(

Anyways, thank you for your time. I hope somebody can help me out in my current prediciment. :(

You need the latest drivers for motherboard, including BIOS, and latest drivers for GPU

Well the GPU drivers are definitely up to date. As for the Motherboard, I placed the disk in my PC and installed the drivers it offered up to me. Could those drivers be outdated? And if so, where do I go to update them?

äDid you reinstall the os after replacing the motherboard and cpu?

No I did not. You think this could be the issue?
This very well your case the issue is the new board has different drivers and such to function so using a old os and just replacing the board and cpu could cause your system to run really slow if at all and Fps will as you see not up to par do a clean format and re-install YOUR os..

Yes, they could be outdated. Go on the gigabyte website for latest drivers.
Daft suggestion - check your motherboard manual to make sure the GPU is in the correct slot, and the correct options are selected in the BIOS

Would reinstalling the OS require me to possess to original Wndows CD? May be a stupid question. :)

Doesn't have to be the original disc just one that will work with your key. If it's a retail copy you can use your product key to download media from Microsoft.
