Hi,

I'm upgrading my old pc on a budget and would like a bit of advice. I'm ordering upgrade parts and wondering if I can keep any of the old parts. I'm not interested in a high spec gaming pc, I only play World of Warcraft (which is really laggy and low fps at the minute) and web browsing/streams/video (which slows down considerably when WoW is playing) so I want something that will work with those and be able to run a few applications without being slow.

Current Specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.60Ghz (2 CPU's)
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q-EM
GPU: ATI Radeon 5770
RAM: Corsair XMS2 2 x 2GB (4GB)
HDD: Seagate ST31000333AS 1TB ATA Device
PSU: Coolermaster GX 750W
OS: Windows Vista 64 bit.

I think that the power supply is fine to reuse but I know my bottlenecks are mainly my processor and my graphics card. Also unsure if I need to update the motherboard (compatibility/performance issues with new RAM?) Is my old 1TB HDD ok to wipe and load windows 10 onto it?

Possible new specs:

MOBO: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0054U7HIO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_6&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

GPU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ICUGOP0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_4&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

RAM: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004CRSM4I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

I think I can keep my PSU and possibly my HDD. Any advice is much appreciated.

Solution
if your HDD is SATA, if can be reused, if its IDE, then it cannot.

the GPU could work with newer PCs, but isn't recommended, it's old and slower than modern GPUs.

the PSU is pretty old, so I'd not save it either
