I added a 2gb ddr 2 to my pentim dual core e5300 motherboard which already had a working 2gb ddr2 of same specs as the new one

Added a new ddr2 2gb ram same as the one already present in the dual core e5300 motherboard
Display and keyboard and mouse have no power and go blank
I removed the sticks and get the beeps
Wat do u suggest to solve this

Possibly a broken ram slot, try replacing the old ram with the new ram in the same slot. If that works it must be the motherboard thats broken. Is is the same model of ddr2 or same specs? sometimes there is a difference if that is the case
