Building a new system(NON OC) for my little brother.

Will be used for watching streams, web surfing, Rome II Attila, League of Legends, CS GO, Star citizen.

Priorities: Must be in stock, must be under 6500 DKK.

Currently it is in a red theme but that is not important. I was aiming for 850 EVO 250 GB but it is not in stock so picked a Kingston one(blindpick) but not sure if its any good.

Already got Asus hdmi monitor, CD drive and Windows 10 CD, mouse, keyboard and headset.

MB: MSI H97 GAMING 3, Socket-1150 - 919 DKK - Komplett.dk
CPU: i5-4690 - 1819 DKK - Komplett.dk
GFX: MSI gtx 960 Gaming 4gb - 1859 DKK - Komplett.dk
Ram: HyperX Savage 1600MHz DDR 3 4GB x2 - 419 DKK - Komplett.dk
Tower: Corsair Carbide 88R - 456 DKK - Computersalg.dk
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB - 699 DKK - Computersalg.dk
PSU: XFX Core Edition PRO 450W V2 - 424 DKK - Computersalg.dk

Total: 6595 DKK

Any advice, changes or oversights is most welcome as i will be placing the order tonight.

Thx in Advance.

AMD motherboard with Intel processor = not going to work

Also choose a case with better airflow. Save money and get an i5-4460/4590 instead of paying the extra premium for 4690 if the price difference is big

Replace the CM Force 500 case with one that has better air flow, Coolermaster N200 or Corsair 88R

The Kingston V300 SSD is slow, you want an SSD that is fast. Look for Zotac 120GB, Corsair LS 120GB or otherwise Samsung Evo 840/850 120gb

You are limited on budget so It's best to buy a GTX 960 2GB instead of 4GB (No performance difference in 90% of the games so don't worry) and improve the rest of your system.
I would change the GPU to a R9 380. If you lower the i5 to a cheaper model you might stretch to a 970 but it probably won't matter much for those purposes. And Kingston is an okay SSD brand, not as good as say Samsung but produces decent drives, and the difference over spinning disk is still huge.

That ssd might be a problem, heard some bad things about it. I would recommend you wait for the 850 evo- its a really good choice.

That motherboard is not compatible with that cpu- go for a lga 1150 motherboard. IT WILL NOT FIT OTHERWISE.

That really sucks, you could look at other ssds, most are good its just the v300 always rings alarm bells for me, heard many things about it being horribly slow for an ssd

Found the Corsair 88R at only 50dkk more(7-8 dollars) so will get that one.(Great advice tyvm)
Will get a 850 EVO 250GB from another store(great advice, and also what i wanted to do myself in the 1st place)
Gonna look at the numbers and see what a change in the gfx/cpu you mentioned will do for me.

You're doing research, that's very good. If I were you I would just wait a week and try doing the research you need and you will be able to select components much better. I would know because I was the same, I decided to wait with selecting parts and building and in the end I built something much better than I originally would have done.

Attention point:
You mentioned you were going with the H97 Gaming 3 motherboard. Don't do that because the Corsair 88R is a microATX case, it does not fit ATX motherboard size. Don't change the case but simply select a microATX motherboard. This model name is usually ''H97M'' or ''Z97M''. Be careful with that.

If you want ATX size then check the price of the NZXT S340 and see if you can get that case instead. Also a very good case.

Yes i just figured that out when i tried to put it all together, the motherboard fits, but takes up all space so no room for PSU, and there is no slots for ssd, damn :(

ill order another tower then and put the psu on the floor next to it for now, i dont like s340 as its front usb ports is placed on top and will die within a year because of dust and crap getting filled up in it. will get a phantex enthoo pro, its cheaper and better :)
