So it has come to my attention that my Motherboard most likely needs a BIOS update.
My Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-B85M-DS3H
I had been having FPS issues when gaming with my new build. The highlights of my upgrade were an i7 4790k CPU and my Motherboard.
After doing research and receiving a lot of help from members of the community, I noticed that my current BIOS version is set at F2. However, once looking at GIGABYTE's website I noticed that F8 is the newest version. To make things more obvious, it appears that at F5 4th Generation CPU's only started getting supported.
Here is a link to the the website and BIOS details :

So my main question is... How do I do the BIOS update?
Some have told me it can be tricky and others have said it was as simple as downloading and running a program. I appreciate all the answers but I want to be sure before going ahead with anything.
Could somebody potentially give me a quick step by step guide or perhaps link to a helpful tutorial?
I am just very cautious when doing this as I have never got myself involved with the BIOS before.
All forms of help are appreciated!
Thank you for your time!
(I do apoligise if I am posting this request in the wrong forum/category)
