Is it possible to run two different graphics cards on the same PC?
I am not looking to pair them in SLI or Crossfire, I want to have them work individually.
For example, I could have a graphics card dedicated to gaming and another one dedicated to rendering. If this is possible how do i select which card I want to use? Also, is it possible to have 2 monitors, each one connected to a different card and then work with both of them simultaneously like having a regular multi-desktop? Another thing is, is it possible to upgrade later down the road so that I have 2 GPUS in SLI for gaming and 1 for rendering for example?
I am not looking for arguments for why I should do that, I need a card that can max out any game I can throw at it at 1080 or even higher while still getting fps greatly over 60, and being able to render extremely high quality 2d and 3d projects. I can't afford a titan Z so I think two different graphics cards will do just as fine. Thanks in advance.
