Hello, first I will say I am not interested in overclocking, I dont want to risk anything since I do not have much knowledge in it.

My Current Setup is an FX6300 with a GTX 970, I feel like there is bottlenecking in CPU intensive games such as GTA5 or some MMOs, there is alot of stuttering.

I want to go to an Intel CPU. I am interested in doing Gaming and Streaming on the same machine. What CPU/Motherboards would you recommend for a non overclocker user?

if ur jst playing games an i5 6500 will be more than enough and get the Asus B150 pro gaming and ddr4 ram...
if u dnt have a tier 1 or 2 psu suggest u get a tier 1 or 2
psu as well...

if ur not editing or multitasking it's not worth to get an i7...

Since you won't overclock I won't recommend you a K series processor. Getting an I7 will yield hyperthreading over an I5 so I will leave that up to you. This board also supports everything you will need. I find most people recommending z97/z170 mobo for absolutely every build even when it's not necessary; thank you Gam3r01 for linking an H97. Again, I will leave that up to you. Make sure whatever you decide on to get everything compatible; correct cpu, mobo, and ram if you go with a ddr4 mobo.

your question has already been answered

4790k + Z87/Z97 motherboard + 2x4GB DDR3 2400 Mhz ram ~$500 new or buy it used for around ~$300
