Video Card vs Power Supply

I am thinking about getting two XFX Radeon R9 380 video cards and am not sure if my power supply will support them.

The manufacturer states a minimum of 500W is required for one card. I have a 1000W power supply. Not sure what the translation is for adding the second card as they do not tell you the amperage or consumption.

You need 750W for CF, so, it will be fine for wattage. What PSU brand do you have?

when a vendor lists a min size power supply it for the amps and wattaged needed on the 12v rail. what you want to do is look at the cards max wattage and the cpu wattage and add them together. then make sure you have 100w or more on the 12v rail for hard drives and other parts.

since it's a 1000W psu even if ur psu is a cheap one it should give atleast 600 or 700 which is enough to crossfire or sli.. so yeah it should be enough

In wattage, it will support your CF, but i would not recommend still using it, there is not a lot of good comments about it.

Raidmax are usually junk but this one is fine.
