How important is the CL in RAM?

I know that speed is not as important in games but how important is the CL?

DDR4 Kingston 8GB HyperX FURY 2400Mhz 1.2V C15

OR

DDR4 Kingston 8GB HyperX FURY 2133Mhz 1.2V C14?

Both are same price in my city... I have this other option but is little more pricy: DDR4 CORSAIR 2x4 (8GB) Vengeance LPX 2400Mhz

It really depends on the combination of CL and data rate and most often times data rate prevails as far as performance, in the sets you show the 2400 would be slightly better performance wise due to the wider bandwidth (it can do more each cycle with the additional DRAM). So neither CL or data rate by itself is the determining factor - some will say CL some will say data rate, but it's truly a combination you could take 2133/13 vs a 3200/14 and the 2133 has the tighter CL but would be far outdistanced in performance by the 3200/14. A lot also depends on what you do and what apps you run, faster DRAM will show more when multi-tasking and using DRAM intensive apps,

Just got this option too in the store: XPG Z1 DDR4 8GB x 2 CL13-13-13
