Worth upgrading to a 6600K?

Hi :)

Right now i have a AMD 6300 six core overclocked at 4.0ghz. My motherboard is a Asrock 970 Pro 3 and my GPU is a MSi GTX 770 Lightning. My pc is acting weird. It reboots sometimes without reason, and it bottlenecks in games like BF4. It has been running like this for almost 4 years now (the 770 is only 2 years old)

I was wondering if an upgrade to a i5 6600K with Corsair DDR4 rams and a ASUS Z170-K-S atx motherboard would fix the bottleneck and performance issues. Im playing on a 144hz monitor, so being able to hit the 120/144 fps ingame would be fantastic. I know it will be better, but is it worth it? Thx

Solution
The processor performance increase is worth it yes. For getting that high FPS it would depend on the game the 770 is a bit dated but still a good card.
PC's don't reboot without a reason this is usually a power supply issue.

How can i find out if it's the PSU that is causing the reboot thing?

My budget is around 430 USD but i'm from Denmark so it's a bit more expensive over here.
I'm playing games like BF4 and Battlefront

Swap your power supply out with a friends and see if you have problems on his power supply.
Since it's 4 years old I would consider changing it anyhow with a new build.
That would increase your price. To make up for that you could get a 4690K, motherboard and new power supply reusing your old memory.
Make sure you have a power supply problem first, should be right at your budget.

My pc reboots once a week or 2 or something, so i can't really test it :-/ I really want to be "future-safe" and go for the new i5 series and the DDR4 rams. As i know the i5 4690k isn't that new anymore. But yes, the i5 4690k could be a solution.
Thanks for the partpicker list :)

What powersupply are you running, it may not be providing enough juice to the system. Or you could have an unstable overclock but that would usually bluescreen, or your 6300 could be heating up too much and causing the pc to shut down.
