the lap has an intergratd intell gpu also but we disabled it to make sure that the main gpu ( amd r9 m375 ) is at work ... all in all the problems are
- we cant change the resolution (capped at 1920x1080)
- low performance and fps in gaming

any help would be appreciated

Solution
You can't change the resolution at all or can't set it higher than 1080? Because that 1920 x 1080 is the resolution of the screen, you can't set it any higher.

Second, the laptop video drivers are only fully supported by the laptop vendor, if you installed the drivers directly from AMD you may have messed up the dual graphics switching.

Did you try the games first before trying to change things?
