Having a problem with my USB on my motherboard. i have a USB hub for my computer but whenever i plug it in my computer shuts off. but when i un plug it it turns back on. Almost as if plugging in the usb hub over powers the mother board or something. I have the usual stuff already plugged in back there like keyboard, mouse headset camera etc. but they work fine. Was hoping someone could help me out! Thanks!!

Solution
If it shuts down your PC when there is no other device attached to it, then there is likely a short in the hub. Hubs are cheap, and you risk your MB if there is a short. I'd just get a new hub.

If you want to be sure the hub is bad plug it into a different computer and see how it behaves. Or use a simple multi-meter / continuity tester and the USB pinout to see if there is any current leakage where there shouldn't be.
