Why is the Intel brand considered better than the AMD brand? I have ARK and it is said that the intel i7 so and so is better than a higher GHz AMD processor. Why?

Solution
Without getting into the AMD vs Intel debate, as you can search that on the forums, Intel has a far superior architecture than AMD. This results in a lower power consumption, higher single threaded performance, and strong multithreaded performance as well.

However, the reason why Intel is "better" than AMD is funding. AMD has a mere 10% of the funding Intel does. This is for everything, including their graphics department as well. Given that, AMD deserves a degree of respect for still standing in the market.

It depends on your budget, if you use the CPU for gaming or video rendering, what kind of games you play, and lots of other factors. Plus most of the times, AMD CPU's will require a way more expensive PSU and a extra cooler so you can OC it and have it to perform as well as their Intel counterpart. Anyways, i don't wanna make another Intel vs AMD post, just saying my opinion about it.
