Hello, I have been wanting to get files off of a really old gateway computer. It uses an IDE hard drive connection. It has an Windows 98 on it, and I need to know if I can just buy an adapter (also suggest which one to use) and plug it in to my new computer and just take the files off. Will there be any complications? I am not planning on using the hard drive in the 98 computer as a boot drive, I just want to take things off. Please help!
