I've had 2 MSI GTX 970s (GAMING 4G) in SLI for the past 6 months. Honestly, I've been kind of "eh" about their performance (and after being a multiple GPU dude for the last 6 years, I'm honestly getting kinda tired of fiddling with SLI profiles, dealing with games that have none, etc...I find my SLI disabled more often than not). So, looking for recommendations for a single card that would be even a slight bump up? (I'm not an nVidia fanboy, but I do have a G-sync monitor and still use 3D Vision when I can.)
Would the automatic recommendation be a 980ti, or should I go Titan X, which seem to now be running around $900? It's my birthday (I turn--dear God--51) this week, and am looking for a present for myself I wouldn't have to wrap.
