I was playing cs yesterday. Once the map was loaded and i had to click to continue , everything froze. So i restarted my pc and got into the game and boom BSOD, so i restarted again the loading logo would disappear but just black screen , no sound no anything. So then i got into windows again and wanted to play some cs but it would either crash during loading screen or within 5-10 mins of the game. I tried GTA V same thing. During one of the reboots i had "cpu over voltage error" I did oc the system , it was running fine for years but i still turned all of my oc off back to stock. And that error was gone. Almost every time when i boot into windows the system wants to check my OS drive so i let it but it doesn`t fix the issue. I started my pc with just SSD (os drive)connected to see if my main storage hdd was the cause but no, I was still getting the crash. Then disconnected all of my usb devices so its just , my mouse , headset , keyboard connected. Disconnected all of my front IO ports (exept e-sata), Swapped ports on my motherboard for my ssd(even when running just the ssd), I did error checking through windows on my os drive and yes i ticked the box so that it should repair if any were found. And still nothing. Very interesting thing i noticed when my cs crashed all my setting went back to default even i got the notification about the revolver and the m4a1-s and cz again(very weird). Also another interesting things when my pc crashed when i had opera open , all of my passwords and logins were reset so like my youtube channel, facebook etc , Same with my skype login and password. When my pc crashed, when i was just surfing the web or im on skype then i can move my mouse and hear skype but cant click anything , even the minimized icons dont get highlighted when i move my mouse over them and in like 2-3 min it either starts working fine or blue screen or i just re-set. Windows came up with "Disk Volume Error" but i checked the disc and still nothing. I had CPU over voltage error in bios but i think that came up cos i was restarting so much but since im running stock clocks that did not come up any more. I really don`t know what`s going on. Getting my friends psu tomorrow gonna hook it up to my pc and see if the same thing will come up. On Tuesday my new hdd will arrive , i will install Windows 7 on it and cs and see if i get the same thing. Then i can isolate if its my ssd or psu or Motherboard, CPU , RAM. Does any one have any help ?

Solution
Try it with just a small OC on the CPU. Check that all DRAM is running correctly, might check and ensure the latest mobo drivers are loaded. Same with the GPU driver. Any new hardware or software, Does the system show the proper time and date after being unplugged for a few minutes. Might also try a different PSU if available.
