Howdy, my old Core2 Quad system is not booting. The fans spin (cpu and video card) and I get a light on the front, but no video output or beep. The mouse also lights up. I have also noticed that I can't turn it off with the front power button when it is like this. I held it down for a while but eventually had to switch the PSU off. I am not sure if my video card has died or if the PSU has died. The PSU is a 430w Thermaltake, and the graphics card is a Radeon HD 4850. I have tried unplugging the hard drives and going down to one stick of ram to no avail. Any other suggestions on how to narrow the problem down? I am planning to get a 750 TI if the video card is the problem, but I would hate to buy a new card only to discover it was something else. Any help is appreciated, and I can provide further specs if needed.
