Hello si I'm trying to choose the best lightweight to bring some life to my parents old desktop

they have an old Dell Inspiron 530 with Windows Vista

Celeron 450 2.2GHz Single Core

2GB DDR2

and I think 250 GB of memory... I think

overall. it's a slow computer that I'm trying to bring new life into so far, I am interested in those two since based on my own personal research pues they were the most interesting. but I am welcome to any change or suggestion, what would be the best, and fastest for this old system, as well as best compatibility for these system

the purpose of the computer will be facebook, youtube, netflix stuff like that. please and thank you

cinnamon has a more robust Windows Manager/Desktop Environment, the DE/WM will demand performance, in older system the performance is noticeable. xfce has a simpler WM/DE uses far less resources, and as a result runs better on aged hardware.
