PC turns on; Monitor won't Display

My problem is that when I turn on my custom build PC everything powers up, but it wont show the BIOS on the screen.. please help.

AMD Fx-6300
Asus gtx 960 strix
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
8gb
1tb HDD

This is most likely your RAM.

Remove your RAM and re-seat it, you should hear 2 distinct clicks when you press it in, after the clicks are heard give the RAM a little bit (not too much!) more pressure.

Also make sure that you're installing your RAM in the correct slots (A1 and A2 go together, B1 and B2 go together)

If you're only using one stick, put it in the A1 slot.

As Dylan stated it could be ram and if you're unsure which slot is which just check your mobo manual.
Is this a new PC? Another thing it could be your cable choice. If you're using HDMI try using DVI or VGA (you probably got a VGA cable with your monitor). Set everything up and get your drivers then HDMI should work fine.
