Hey, i am looking into building my own pc with some birthday and Christmas money. I currently have a budget of $500 (Cad). In both builds i will not upgrade the Gpu for a while. I will upgrade the Athlon II x4 620 to an FX 8320e in a few months.

Intel Build:
Cpu: I5 4590
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary
Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) (upgrading to 16Gb)
Gpu: Sapphire Radeon R7 260X
Storage: 2Tb Hard Drive
Case: Cooler Master N200
Psu: EVGA 500W 80+
Total: $518 Cad

Amd Build:
Cpu: Athlon II x4 620 (already have)
Motherboard: ASRock 970M PRO3
Ram: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) (upgrading to 16Gb)
Gpu: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB SuperSC ACX
Storage: 2Tb Hard Drive
Case: Cooler Master N200
Psu: EVGA 500W 80+
Total: $490 Cad

Which would perform better in gaming? should i even consider the Amd build even if i upgrade the Cpu? i will be doing some video editing, that's why i am going to upgrade to the 8 core, but if i choose the Intel build i will upgrade the gpu in 3-4 years. Feel free to leave better $500 builds and/or feedback about the 2 builds i made. Anything is welcome!

Solution
I'd say the 2nd build. the 8320 plus a 960 would be best overall. infact i'd drop the 960 and look to getting a 380. and im on the side of intel/nvidia
