I have a 4 year old Acer Laptop with the following specification:

-AMD D443 Processor
-4GB memory
-500GB HDD

And it was working 2 days ago, I left it on battery during a windows 10 update. And when I tried to turn it on the next day it won't turn on. The fan spins then stops but the light indicator that it is on is still lit up. I have already tried the following:

-Clear the cmos
-Clean the memory

But still nothing works, any help please.

Solution
Motherboards are a main to switch on a laptop.. And that is if you can even find one for that laptop. And no it's not the hard disk. If it were the hard disk then the BIOS screen would still be showing and that's not the case. I would bring it to a computer tech and pay the $20 fee or whatever it is to have it diagnosed and if it isn't worth the time or money to you then just sell it as scrap :(

Sorry for the late reply. I have tried plugging it directly off of wall power, but still wont work. The fan spins then stops but the led light indicating that it has power is still on, the screen is black. The acer splash screen does not appear.

I have already tried connecting it to a monitor, but still it does not work. If the motherboard is the problem, is it possible to change or replace it. Is it also possible that the problem is the hard disk? Sorry for the late response. Thank you for your answers.
