Skype keeps adjusting my microphone

Okay, so this is really pissing me off. I usually go on skype with my brothers, but when we play they get annoyed because they can hear my ingame sound. Another thing I noticed is that when I do this, it only happens on skype (haven't tried other programs yet). By the way, I already went on the recordings tab-microphone-advanced-uncheck the Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.(didn't work)

This all just started - all was well before? No known hardware or software changes, updates?

1) Are you sure you saved/applied the "uncheck"?

2) Try other programs.

3) Try another set of earphones/microphone.

4) Uninstall and reinstall Skype.

Well, I just build my pc like 2 weeks ago. Also I think it is just skype because when I play csgo it doesn't adjust the microphone, I also tried teamspeak and it is working fine with it.

That, at least, is some progress.

No idea per se what Skype may be doing but at least it is now "undoing it"......

You might try working with the normal order of things.... By that I mean limit what applications automatically run at start time and then open the others manually when you need them.

Might be enough to banish the gremlins.....
