Hey guys!
my gaming pc just crashed, and it appears to be the motherboard, i got the Z97 gaming 7, and now i need to replace it! i thought of buying the same M/B however it seems to be empty everywhere! I need a motherboard that provide the same functions as the Gaming 7. it must MSI since i read that the MSI 980 wouldn't be fully optimized except with a MSI motherboard. I live in norway!
my specs are:
16 gb ram
i7 4770
msi gtx 980
evga g2 750w
msi gaming 7(need to be replaced)

Not being fully optimized unless running on another MSi board is bullshit honestly. Also you can get a z97 gaming 5, no difference pretty much, apart from an HDMI less and a few USBs less, which you can live without. Not to mention that your CPU does not support overclocking so the Z97 board is a total waste, better just go for a cheaper H97 board like the msi h97 gaming 3.

the z97 is a new mb it should have a few years of warrranty as most new mb have 3-5 year warranties now. have you gone to msi web page and done rma for a new mb?? so all you pay is shipping the old one back?? what did your old rig do that you think it the mb???

but i forgot to register the products when i first bought them! i tried entering the motherboards serial number from the box, but the site needed two serial numbers and i had no idea what the other was so i was like fuck it!
my desktop just stopped working! first it boots, then it turns off, then on again but without any video input!
i tried another functioning Gpu, it didn't work either, i tried different PCI slot, didn't work. i removed the rams, tried the psu on a different pc! the motherboard was my last option and since i have no idea how to diagnose it! i was like this must the problem :)

sounds fair enough! i just want a good motherboard that is all! plus one question! i always wondered that the MSI gaming 7 didn't support integrated graphics then why does it have the HDMI on its motherboard?

if the mb turning on/off/on it may be a dead short in the case. unplug one by one case fans and then the drives take the rig down to if you have to to outside the case with the mb/gpu and power supply on a desk. if your using a 3 party cooler make sure it not crushing the cpu. also make sure the cpu is still locked in tight to the mb.
