bought this computer back in september 2015. never really did anything too crazy on it until recently.

here are the specs before i explain anything:
Processor Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad Core Processor
CPU Cooler Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler
Motherboard Asus Z97-A / USB 3.1 Motherboard
Graphics Asus STRIX GTX980 DirectCU II OC 4GB Graphics Card
Memory Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB DDR3-1600MHz CL10 Dual Channel Kit (2x 8GB)
Hard Drive SanDisk Ultra II SSD 240GB Solid State Drive
Seagate 3TB Desktop HDD (7200 rpm) w/ 64MB Cache
Optical Drive 24x DVD+/-RW
Chassis Thermaltake Core V51 ATX Case
Power Supply Thermaltake Smart Standard 750W Power Supply
Operating System Windows® 10 Home 64bit

i used this video to overclock to 4.5ghz:

downloaded real temp and cpu z and here are the results:

are these a little too high. i saw a max of 83% load with the the temps peaking 86c after 5-10mins of running.

thanks for the feedback!

Solution
Link doesn't work.
Could take the side off the case this will eliminate if it's air flow issue within the case .if it doesn't change might just be your chip.
Did you have a read of the overclocking guide I linked?
What voltage did your chip run at stock ?

That is a little high ,every chip is different.
The issue with haswell is the silicon holding the ihs on is to thick on some chips.
I have a 4770k and at 4.4 1.22v mine is 65-70 gaming tho I do have a different cooler.
If your worried about it drop your OC down a bit to reduce the voltage needed or set the cooler to full speed all the time.
What are your ambient temperatures?

18-20 celius ambient. and ok ill try to fiddle around with more options later. And how do u control the cpu cooler? Is it just the cpu fan speed?

It says i can add additional fans to my case. I might try that and see if it makes a difference
