Hi Guys!

Recently, a retail hardware store hired me to build a POS system for them. At first they told me they just want a machine that scans their items and sells fast, each time I have visited them the demands has been changed.

So the first time, I asked them if they want a who POS system package that's everything there, and the answer was no. The demands for their POS are they want receipt to be printed on A4 paper, simply touch screen, and it easily scan the barcodes on their items. So I bought them an Android Tablet alone with barcode scanner with easily setup POS app such as TabShop or Intuit GoPayment, but unfortunately these apps don't have a customized receipt options. At least to add their logo on the receipt. Would you guys know of any other apps I could use? Or Should return this system and get them a new one?

Requirements: They want their system to be small (as a tablet), scan item's barcode and print a receipt on A4 for their customers. Doesn't seem complicated, but finding fast solution hasn't been easy yet.

Also I'm not very familiar with whole barcodes data entry. As soon as I told them they need to input their entire inventory into the system one-by-one they started panicking, as they have a large inventory with a lot of items both with their own barcode and some without barcode at all. Do they have to scan each item's barcode and enter data info into the system? So later on once they scan the item it immediately show up on screen with prices and everything? Is there other way I can set this up quicker for them? Or inputting inventory data is necessary with any system they get?

I would appreciate some suggestions or advice for this matter.

Thank you.
