My AMD PC is now running 3 years without a GPU and instead is using its iGPU,
after I bought a EVGA GTX 750 ti FTW edition for 50% discount, the PC boots successfully, but only displays a black screen with a dash line at the top left of the screen then minutes later, it blinks with still, a black screen.

I set the BIOS to default and tried to disable the IGP of the CPU and still, nothing happens. I also cannot open the BIOS with the GPU installed.

Does anyone know the problem?

Full PC specs (without the GTX 750ti)

CPU: AMD A6-3500 2.1ghz FM1 socket
Mobo: MSI A75MA-P35 FM1(PCI-E x16 gen 2.0)
PSU: Aerocool Strike-X 500w 80+ Bronze
RAM: Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 mhz low profile

Seems like a Windows Genuine Validation failure,

1. Set it up from the bios to boot from CD, put the windows CD in and see what you can do from there. Best course of action is to do a windows boot repair or restore it to a previous session and see what results you can get.

If it does not work,

2. Try reinstalling the windows, it should work in all probability.

Good Luck, RSVP :)

It works when i go back to iGPU

But the GPU is good and new, bought form a trusted franchising store.

but my mobo is 3 years old now, since the era of FM1 CPUs. Should I try to test the GPU on a different system?

If you have another system, you will get a fast answer to your problem. You can also try to insert the GPU into another slot.

How is this becoming a Windows genuine problem? The iGPU works fine with my Windows OS, also the BIOS is UFEI, which might explain that I cannot open bios without a GPU.

But I will try that.

Checked my Mobo's BIOS, it is from 2011, and the new bios is from 2013.
It might solve my problem without trying to test it on another system, thanks mate, feedback will come after the update

Sorry, the mobo only has one good PCI-e x16 2.0 slot.
the rest is just PCI or PCI-e gen 1.0

Btw, whats a pen drive? The latest update requires me to update the bios via pen drive only, bios version is v1.3 so i cant download a v1.2

edit: Windows 10 is my OS.

Your new graphics card needs additional power from the power supply. Plug in a 6 pin PCIe power plug or use an adapter (not recommended)

Pen drive = USB thumb drive or USB flash drive
Download the up to date bios version 2.0, extract this file to an USB flash drive and reboot
Enter bios, flash the bios with the internal "m-flash" utility
