Building a New PC: Do these components work together?

Hi everyone, this is Dafaria and I'm planning on building a new PC. As I am definitely not even close to good at knowing things about PCs, and this is my first proper homemade PC, I would like to ask the community if these components will work together. If I can, I would like this PC to be easy to update if new technology comes out (why I went with the LGA1151). Please try to remain unbias in your response, but obviously opinion is needed in some parts. ;)

Note: Anything in italic I already own.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock Z170 Extreme6 LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory
Storage: Seagate Desktop HDD ST2000DM001 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive + Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5" SATA III SSD MZ-75E250
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB Video Card
Case: SEE BELOW!!!
Power Supply: SEE BELOW!!!
Operating System: Windows 7/10 (not sure which one?)
Monitor: ASUS VG248QE (144Hz) 24" 1ms HDMI Full HD Gaming LED Monitor with Speaker + ASUS VS248H-P Black 24" 2ms GTG Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor
External Storage: WD Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive WDBU6Y0020BBK
Peripherals: RAZER DeathStalker Expert USB Gaming Keyboard, SteelSteries Sensei Wireless Laser Gaming Mouse, Turtle Beach Ear Force Z2 (planning on getting a HyperX headset).

I already have a PC that I am going to be selling. Should I sell the PC as a whole (it contains all components needed to run) or each part separately for the most money in return?

Also, is there anything else not listed in these components that I should at least think about getting (such as a sound card)?

I was also looking at alternatives to CPUs and noticed the AMDs were quite a lot cheaper, while having a similar/higher GHz.

ABOUT CASE/POWER SUPPLY: I have absolutely no idea on these, as while I have some knowledge about the other parts of a PC, I have zero clue when it comes to these two. Which case and power supply would be recommended for this build?

If you require any more information, please let me know.

Thanks,
-Dafaria

Hello, so hopefully this is helpful, iill try address everything i can, but im sure i may miss a thing or two and some things are more my opinion than technical fact, ill try and mark them as such so:

First things first, are you going to overclock? If not, say so as it will change everyone's answers
CPU COOLER: I would go the CRYORIG H7, its smaller and has shown to be as good if not better on testing (opinion)
Motherboard: If you are not planning on SLI-ing or Xfiring, the Z170 Extreme4 will probably suite all your needs
Memory: That motherboard is not compatible with DDR3, so you have to switch up to DDR4 (fact)

Everything else seems fine, if you are not going to overclock then anything 600W with at least 80+ Bronze is fine, if you...

With reference to your AMD question the intels unfortunately run a fair bit faster, unless you are going to overclock like crazy (in which case, you will need to change your motherboard) and probably a new cooler.

With respect to selling, i have found selling an entire system gets you more money but less buyers, parts will get you less but much quicker (opinion)

For me personally any case that fits my gpu and cooler, with at least 5 fans works, but tbh im not great with cases either.. hope this was helpful

I have almost no idea about overclocking, but I may want to do it at some point... I'm not really sure.

While I do not currently own two GTX 970s, I do at some point plan to SLI, but I'm not sure if I will have that opportunity before I upgrade my processor again. It really depends on what happens IRL.

Thanks for the answer!

So these will fit all my components perfectly including my SSD (it's been sitting on my shelf because my current processor couldn't fit it.

It will, just remember to change that RAM

So would this: "EVGA SuperNOVA 750W B2 Power Supply" be a good power supply? Or are there better ones?

Also, with the case that JQB45 mentioned, it appears to only come with 1 fan? I really want to make sure my computer is as quiet as possible. Is the case they mentioned good in your opinion? I'm not really sure what difference a case actually makes, besides obviously the look.

One last question I have is: If I buy all the parts separately and get someone to put it together, is there anything else that I need to buy, such as cords to connect the USB cables from the motherboard to the outside of the case? (Again, I'm really bad with PCs :p)

I'm not great with cases, but i personally use a nanoxia deep silence 1. As a general rule less fans=less noise and if your ņot overclocking temps shouldn't be an issue either. . With respect to purchasing additional stuff the parts you buy should come with everything you need, might be in weird places tho..for example, your motherboard will have your SATA cables not your HDD. That type of thing. . Just make sure if someone else is building they know what they're doing and everything will be fine :)

With respect to your power supply i would go with the one the previous poster put up. . Or i personally have a
