Since you're on a 520W PSU, you should be looking towards a 600VA UPS like this though do not the higher the VA number the longer the backup during a power failure/blackout. It'd help us further if we knew a budget and a site from where you'd like to purchase your UPS?

couldn't afford a pure sine wave UPS with external battery setup..........instead, bought an APC 1100RS UPS sometime during March, 2016...........been playing Witcher 3, farcry primal, AC syndicate etc with internet running in the background (for Steam)..............after 10 minutes without power --> UPS beeping slowly........... after 15-18 mins--> beeping still slowly..........nearing 20 mins --> beeping gets rapid.
so, at least i get ample time to switch off the system in case of power outage.

Well, if you've studied physics with power if the input is 100% it does not however mean 100% output. Some will be lost due to conversion and restivity within the wires. It's a good thing that you're getting backup, in time for you to shut down but do keep an eye and an ear on your battery backup since with time it'll degrade thus reducing backup time.

Thank you offering closure to this matter though also keep us posted if any adversity takes place. There are people who may be on the same boat as you ;)
