Ive recently built my pc with the help of friends who ve built pc's before. The pc ran for 2 days without incurring any problems but soon after i started getting no signal signs on my moniter screen. I will boot up my pc and it would sometimes say to plug in the PCie cables to the graphics card even thiugh they are alreadtly connected and sometimes it would take me to my desktop however if that happed after a 1 or 2 mins it would come with the no signal sign again.
My pc would still be running during this blank no signal moniter since i could still hear my spotify still playing.

All the fans are working on the gpu, cpu cooler.

Its been 15 days since i built it and ive tried a variety of techniques suggested by the internet such as reseating the RAM and replugging in the PCie ports.

Pc specs
I5 4690k processor
Nvidia Gtx 970 Gpu
Corsair 550 watt Psu
Seagate 1 tb hard drive
Msi Z97 mother board pc mate
Hyperx Fury RED 8Gb

Any siggestions would be helpful thanks.

Solution
For using the motherboard video ports you have to unplug the PCIe power cables from the graphics card, or simply remove it from the PCIe slot.
Or change the BIOS setting to iGPU.

Ive tried putting the moniter cable into the motherboard rather the GPU and it says no signal everytime but when i put it in the GPU slot it comes up with the above results as in it goes to desktop or it soemtimes says about the PCie cables
