Can I build a powerful gaming desktop with a budget of ₹50,000?

₹50,000 being somewhere around $750.
I am planning to build a PC which will be able to handle most of the recent AAA titles with ease, I am mostly interested in games like Far Cry 4, GTA V, Just Cause 3, Fifa 16 etc. I am willing to shell a few extra bucks and maybe bump my budget up to ₹55-60K ($800, roughly) since I want the maintenance cost to be minimal for all the peripherals and components. Also, if you could suggest me where I should cut the cost and what I should mainly invest in, that would be great.
I also want it to be upgradable to make changes to it down the line.

  • Should I be looking for NVIDIA's GTX cards or AMD cards?

  • Should the RAM be a DDR3 or DDR4 and how much would be enough to meet the demand?

Thank you for responding, although a list of components that I should work with will be much appreciated.
Please note that I will be building a PC for the first time, what I forgot mentioning in my description was that my budget will include the cost of the Monitor as well.

At the current exchange rate ₹50,000 = USD $735. I agree that the best advice here is to spend wisely - you can get a pretty decent system these days for that kind of money. It won't be a "monstrous build" but you can easily get a low end i5 and a GTX 960 and that will play all the games you want at 1080P very smoothly.

I'd go with an Intel build if its' possible - a Skylake i3 is better than an FX-6300 in most current games. Plus too much being spent on keyboard and mouse - you can definitely get cheaper (you have ₹6030, which is USD $88 on peripherals on this kind of budget is the kind of thing I would heavily advise against on a budget this tight). This will be somewhat more, but will be a much more powerful system:

Total: ₹48195

Then you can add whatever monitor, keyboard and mouse you want. I generally don't include those things because a lot of it is personal preference.

Not on that budget you'd be spending well over ₹60K (USD $890) and that's not including the peripherals.

That doesn't leave much of a budget for peripherals, does it? The cheapest gaming monitor on that site was ₹11k, excluding mouse and keyboard. I tried doing the cheapest while keeping quality.

You can get a Cooler Master Storm for ₹2945 and then that gives you a lot more money for the Intel setup, and you get a pretty decent keyboard and mouse for that price. No need for the fancy and expensive Razer stuff when you can always buy that later.
