I am new to building computers, this would be my first time building one. I have used the site pcpartpicker.com to put components together but was asking for if they would be compatible if i could save some money but get equal or great performance, I'm going to want to be doing marathon gaming and on high settings, plus run multiple programs at the same time. I'm looking to spend somewhere in the ballpark of $600 (including the monitor) so my list is

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
EVGA GeForce GT 740 1GB FTW Video Card
Raidmax EXO ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Lite-On iHDS118-04 DVD/CD Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)
HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor ($100 on amazon)

so any advice would be great thanks for your time

Buy used. This'll never game at high settings, nor will the case allow marathon gaming. Even something like a Q6600, LGA 775 DDR3 motherboard, 8GB RAM, Radeon HD 7970, a decent PSU and case would wreck the build you have right now, and those are all old parts. And that only sets you back about $400 without peripherals.
