Is my Corsair 3200 RAM compatible with my motherboard?

Hi,

I recently upgraded to my first Intel rig, on the x99 platform. I previously had a Gigabyte AMD motherboard, and simply took the RAM, CPU, CPU COOLER and motherboard out (made no change to software side, before hand) , and then replaced them with the new bits below:

New components:
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Plus
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit
CPU: Intel i7 5280k
CPU Cooler: NZXT KRAKEN X61 280mm

Components that stayed in system:
GPU: MSI 980 ti
PSU: Corsair RM850w Gold

On first boot, the system turned on and then immediately shut off again, only to turn on five seconds later.

On boot, a message displayed before Windows, stating new memory had been installed and needed to be configured. Everything loaded smoothly and then I installed the Motherboard's disc of drivers.

On restart, the computer once again switched off immediately and turned back on five seconds later. It now would not load to Windows.
An MCE Machine Check Exemption error briefly popped up and the computer then restarted.

The computer is now not loading to windows at all, and I've seen in the manual that the motherboard only accepts RAM at 3000 and 3333mhz -- I've no idea what the problem is, but I've heard it could be that the RAM is not supported?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah yes, so I take it the RAM is supported. Sorry to sound ignorant, but would you have any recommendations when you say about tweaking the CPU? I've just opened the BIOS and the system has frozen.
