I built this computer from scratch a few months ago, and noticed now apparantly (memory hadn't seemed to be an issue until the last few weeks) that my system shows i have 8 gigs installed, but only between 3.92 and 5.96 GB available. The number changes when i look at it, usually from boot to boot, occasionally while the computer is running still. I have included a system information export in a spoiler tag to show what i am talking about, (the number changed frequently while i was watching the tab, between 4.77 and 4.9 available)

I have heard a lot about disabling the integrated graphics, however i cannot find an option to do so (or an option referring to the APU) in my bios using the ASRock Fatality FM2A88X Killer.

The Ram is becoming an issue, preventing me from doing something as simple as playing a game and watching a show at the same time on my dual monitors, or even having a chrome page open and playing a game.

I assumed the rest of the information in sysinfo would be to much to scroll through, so i pruned it to just the first page. If more is needed please let me know!

This is normal. Your system is using as much memory as it can to optimize your system and make it run faster.

Welcome to Windows! Your operating system will use this ram since you've made it available. This seems normal to me, for instance I am using 5+GB memory of my 8GB and I'm just running Chrome at the moment.

To disable your onboard video/integrated graphics that's usually done in your CMOS, however I'm not sure how you disable this on an AMD APU. I hadn't thought about that APU using your system ram.

In your CMOS you should look for two things:
- set PCIE video card to initialize first
- disable onboard video
- not sure if you'll find this is the usual place or in the CPU settings since this resides directly on the CPU.

Let us know if you find it!

in the task manager it shows 3.5GB cached, though the number is changing between 3.5-4.0 while watching it. 2.8 in use, 5.0 available, 3.5 cached, 308 MB, 174 MB non-paged pool. Why would this all of a sudden be an issue? when i play a game that takes 1-3 gigs, i'll have to monitor it again, but i'm hitting 99% used at those times... It seems a bit much. Would my only solution be to add more? Seems silly since just 1 month ago i was just fine and didn't have this issue at all...

my biggest memory hogs seem to be Google Chrome (obviously) and System and Compressed Memory. Beyond that, nothing is taking more than 20MB or so.
