Questions about upgrading my PC for MMOs

My current build:
i5-2500k
gtx 560ti (recently upgraded to 970)
8gb ram

Upgrading to:
i5-6600k or i7-6700k
gtx 970 (already upgraded)
16gb ram

I've researched a lot and asked a few friends of their opinions about the build, but i just wanna be 100% sure about everything before I purchase it (so expensive. i dont wanna regret it.). I've had my PC for about four years now and I can't play newer games even on high settings anymore; my fps drops below 30. The recent upgrade to 970 allowed me to play games on high/ultra once again, but with occasional lags on populated areas.

I mostly play MMORPGs (like Vindictus, Blade & Soul, Tera, League of Legends, etc). And I also record occasionally to upload on YouTube just to share with friends; no fancy editing or anything like that. I also sometime stream privately for my friends, although very rarely.

Anyway, I have heard that MMOs tend to be more CPU intensive, so I was actually contemplating on getting the i7-6700k. I've researched many times about it, but I really do not get any clear answer on the subject.

So my question is, am I better off with the 6600k instead of the 6700k?
(considering the games I play, recording, simple editing, and minimal streaming)

Thank you!

Unlike previous versions of Intel CPUs I'm expecting to see price adjustments coming though at the moment yes the 6700K is around $413, the non K 6700 is only $329, a $70 premium over the i5 6600K, which is why I mentioned both the plain jane 6700 and the 6700K. With the ability to OC non-K CPUs inherent in the mobos and that the balancing available through the BCLK allowing same the 6700 makes for an attractive option
the 6500 is the best deal Skylake i5. only 300 MHz slower than the 6600K, but $53 cheaper. You can still overclock the 6500 on a Z170 board using BCLK overclock, but even not overclocked, with teh 970, you'd see only single digit FPS differences between teh 6500 and 6600K
