I have a factory lenovo thinkcentre m58p 6209a1u motherboard, or a panda l-iq45 and I don't see OCing options in the bios..

Solution
Most OEM systems don't support overclocking.. You would have to be able to raise the FSB to overclock that cpu and seeing as the BIOS doesn't have the option you would need a new motherboard to overclock. We used to use SetFSB and Clockgen to overclock systems in windows but no idea if they will work for you. Another option to look into might be a bsel mod.

Well here is another problem I have
I have an old but nice(ish) motherboard in my closet... Its a biostar gf7100p-m7s... here's my problem with that.. the site shows that my cpu isnt supported in it but the mobo recognizes it, and when it starts to boot into where I can install windows from a flash drive I get a blue screen. Any ideas on that?

Pre built system.

With the motherboard used in pre built systems you don`t get in most cases any over clocking option.
If you want a motherboard with lots of overclocking options you have to buy one your self that suports Core 2 quad Q9300 cpu you have, socket 775. Other wise your stuck.

Pre built systems come with cheap custom made motherboards with very limited upgrade options for hardware expansion an very basic bios options of the bios.

so even though the cpu shows up on the other mobo I can't use it because on the official site it says it's not supported? I mean it even says core 2 quad q9300 and it recognized my core 2 duo e8400 (of course I have two cpus and neither is supported)

well I'm not sure what the issue is, because on the motherboard I had put the installation files on a thumbdrive, then I tried putting them on a hard drive, and it started booting into the installation (got to the windows logo) and it spun for about 10 seconds then bam... bsod
