Hello, I have a question on upgrading from an NVidia GeForce GT 720 GPU to a newer EVGA NVidia GeForce GTX 960 4GB SC. I'm wondering if the newer card will cause any issues to arise from other components in my PC. My specs are as followed:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit OS

Inter Pentium G3240 at 3.10GHz CPU (64-bit)

PSU: APEVIA ATX-XG 500 watts switching power supply

If there are any issues that may arise, please let me know. Thanks!

You shouldn't be facing issues with that build, even though your Pentium might Bottleneck the 960 a bit. Your Power Supply is also sufficient for this kind of card.

Once you get the card, make sure to monitor all your other components temperature too, because the GTX960 will be producing more heat than the previous one, so making sure your air flow is sufficient is a must. The card isn't only running more cores and memory, but the GDDR5 on it heats up a lot more than the DDR3 that your GT720 had. I don't want to scare you though, there's like 95% chance that you'll be fine, but I recommend that you check anyway :)
