I got my friend a new cpu todau, an athlon X4 860K and we installed it. Now we don't know what's wrong. He had a A6 and we are resorting to on board graphics and we tried a different gpu from his 750 ti and nothing works.

The problem first occurred when booting into windows with the 750 Ti and then it never displayed anything again.

SOLVED!(Months ago) Improperly plugged-in HDMI in the monitor's side. Derp.

In the box that is trying to be displayed there is an OK button near the bottom of the window. Hover your mouse over that area and left click it. You don't need to wait for it to be displayed. You just need to click on the correct area.

That may not, however, resolve the problem. You changed processor families from the A-Series to the Athlon so you probably need to do a new install. You might try a repair install but that may not be sufficient.

I have changed processors successfully in a motherboard and had windows detect the new processor and load new drivers but only when they were in the same family, e.g. Phenom II to Phenom II, but different processors (more cores).
