Waiting for pascal or polaris will definitely be your best bet, since the new architectures are going to be using the new 14 nm architecture we should see a huge jump in performance. Although if you simply cant wait at all, then theres no beating the famed GTX 980 TI, its still insanely powerful in every task and can crush games at 1440p on ultra. i bought a 980 ti a month ago and would wholeheartedly suggest it to you.
