Hello, recently i built my pc with i5-4690k. while gaming the core temps reach 80 degrees celsius..
while the cpu temps are 30? i am with the stock cooler and i am afraid of damaging my cpu. Please help.

Solution

Cooler Master Blizzard T2
It is a smaller 92mm cooler.

If you have room going bigger is a good idea. I could guess anything is better than stock. You may have to remove your board to install a cooler if you do not have a cutout on the backside of the motherboard tray.

The one you posted( Blizzard T2) uses the same push-pin design so you MUST be sure the pins lock on the back of the board or you may have the same issue.

Monitor it with Intel XTU. Click the Configure Hardware Monitors icon and select all.

http://imgur.com/a/Zy71R here is an album i made, the cpu temps even dropped at 15C. At XTU it seems normal but still, why my temps are so high. If i make the benchmark 2 times in a row the temps can go up to 95-100C and throttle. Without load on the cpu the CPU temps are higher than the core's, but when you load it at 100% the core temps drop to 15C

I am going to just not trust speedfan in this case.

With software that can monitor many boards, sometimes the misread things. Temperatures do not tend to go DOWN under load(while some may from fans speeding up, but not that much).

Can you ensure your cooler pins have been fully inserted. If they did not lock in on the other side of the board the cooling performance will not be good.

If you plan to try to remount the cooler, you will have to get thermal paste and clean off the old stuff.

Any reason you didn't enable everything in XTU? It would be nice to see the core temperatures.

I removed some things so i can fit everything in the SS, Everything related to temperatures is enabled. Should i buy a new cooler?

That's what I expected; a low-end cooler that's not much better than the stock cooler. The TX3 Evo is better, but it's no match against the 212 Evo or the H7. Review of the Cooler Master Blizzard T2: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/cooler-master-blizzard-t2-cpu-cooler-review/6/ The TX3 uses the same push-pin design.
