Best fan controller for swapping from high and low quickly

That's a pretty sweet controller, but you could do what you're talking about for about $2.00 in parts.

Get a dual position switch (one with three posts on the back, one common, two separate channels for when the switch is in either position)
Cut the end of a molex connector, solder the yellow wire to one side, the red wire to the other side.
Attach a third wire to the center post (this is your voltage out and connects to the 12v wire on the fan).
Connect the black wire out from the fan to one of the black wires from the molex set you chopped.

When in one position - it will feed 12v from the PSU to the fan and run it at full speed.
When in the other position it will feed 5v from the PSU to the fan and run it at about half speed (maybe less).

This is the type of switch here - you can mount it to one of the cover panels for your 5.25" drives.

Get how that works?

i have the http://www.phanteks.com/Enthoo-Luxe.html 6 fans i think there is a mix of 3 and 4 although need to check while I'm home. i can solder and all that but I'm in my dorm room so i can't do it here and would rather go for a prebuilt solution. I'm currently using a Akasa 5.25'' FC Six fan control for 6 fans
