Hello, I'm getting all of my parts together to build my new PC. I chose a RM850 fully modular power supply from Corsair to power everything, after looking around i have found a RM850x.

RM850 - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-rm850
RM850x - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cp9020093na

RM850x is cheaper than the RM850, im not sure which one to get and why? I'm building a PC to game on and i plan to upgrade in the future that's why i'm choosing such a large PSU.

Here is my part list : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/9x9pt6
(Ignore the peripherals :p)

I don't know much about PSU, which one would be more suitable for me or is better in general?
What does the x indicate / do?

Thank you in advance for the help :)

(if you want to give me some suggestions for my build, feel free :) )

Thank you for the reply, as i already own the RAM from my current build, i will be keeping the same one, if i changed my ram i would go with skylake.

So out of the RM and RMx, the RMx would be the way forward for me?

Between only those two choices, definitely yes.
