I've tried overclocking my pc using automatic settings in AMD Overdrive and then blue screen appeared for me (this was like 2 days ago), and since my pc won't shutdown completely, it will turn the lights off and turn on again in less than a second.
My specs:
HD7970's in crossfire
PSU 1200W Silent Pro
FX 8350
16b RAM

Please Help this is really annoying!

Solution
If you can get into windows again or even try to start in safe mode and Run a command in administrative mode under dos,
c:>sfc /scannow

Then try shutting down after it has completed it's process of scanning and replacing all bad/corrupt systems files.
If it works your problem is solved.
If not
you'll need to enter the registry and force shutdown. A problem experienced under windows XP a lot.

Here is the reg key you'd need to change.
Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl

In the right pane choose AutoReboot/Right Click/Modify. Change value to 0 to disable and 1 to enable

Its best to OC manually and not use program to do it for ya. Thing too do right now is reset your CMOS to reset your BIOS to default, you will have to reset your time in bios after. You can reset your CMOS by turning your PC off, pull your power cord out of your PSU and press and hold your PC power button till your led lights on MOBO shut off and take your CMOS battery out for like 10 secs or so and replace. This should reset your BIOS back to default. Should be able to boot up after this..
What kind of MOBO are you running?????

Sorry I forgot the mobo, it's a 990FXA UD5. I will try doing that, first got to locate the mobo battery, and btw, my problem is not that it doesn't boot up, but rather taht after I tell windows to shutdown it will do it, but briefly, after a second off it turns on again automatically.

So I resetted my mobo, and still the problem persists, restarts after shutdown. The strange thing is, that the pc actually managed to turn off and stay that way liek two days ago, and it worked today once. What do you think it might be? PSU maybe?

I believe so, I used automatic oc in AMD Overdrive and at one time blue screen shows up and pc restarts, I guess it began after that. I will try what you said above and post the results.

Windows 8/8.1 and 10 use a hybrid sleep when you click shutdown. Could be some kind of corruption from the auto OC causing wake up when you tell your PC to shutdown. You could see what woke your computer or wake timer setting as well using powercfg in command prompt. May want to disable fast startup as well if using Win 8 - 10.
