I currently have an Asus M5A78L-USB3.0 MoBo, but I recently started upgrading my PC... I bought a Samsung 850 Pro SSD but my motherboard doesn't support SATA 3, only SATA 2, so I'm really not getting the most out of my SSD.

I am limited to Micro ATX or Mini ITX motherboards, and would like it to support SATA 3 and USB 3.0 as I do a lot of file transferring. I do not necessarily mind what chipset it supports, but I would prefer an AMD build as you get more for your money. I can only find a couple motherboards that satisfy my criteria, but the reviews are terrible so I want to avoid them. I don't mind what brand it is, but would prefer to stick to the big three - Asus, MSI or Gigabyte - as these are the most highly recommended.

Any help would be VERY much appreciated! And I understand that I am being very particular, but I just bought a new tower that only supports micro ATX and mini ITX, so need to stick to these form factors. Also, compatible CPU upgrade recommendations are more than welcome!

Thanks in advance to anyone that is willing to help me out!

man you need to read: "The 840 Pro soared in our synthetic tests when we had it hooked up to a 6 Gb/s port. It also fell flat several times when we hamstrung it using SATA 3Gb/s. When we specifically targeted sequential reads and writes, along with random I/O at high queue depths, the differences were especially pronounced. But once we started through our handful of real-world tasks, booting up and shutting down Windows 8, and loading a number of applications, the differences shrank to almost nothing. The deltas we did measure wouldn't be perceptible during your day-to-day grind."

Exactly, the SATA 2, 3Gb/s bottlenecks the 840 Pro by a huge amount... and the 850 Pro is even faster so I'm definitely not getting the most out of my SSD. Need a decent micro ATX board that supports SATA 3....

Sorry bud, only skim read through it.
I do a lot of file transfer though, so sequential read/ write speeds will be taken into account. The boot up times are already impressive with my set up so not too worried about any improvement there.
