Hi everybody, So I'm in the middle of planning af new build, but I need some help. My current setup is this:

AsRock Z77 Extreme4
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz LGA1155
Sapphire Radeon R9 290
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB PC3 12800
Corsair VX550 PSU

I'm currently trying to become a streamer, but I can feel that my computer is falling behind, when I try to stream the new games. I've been looking at upgrades the past week, but I'm kinda unsure where to start, or if I should just get a whole new system.
Should I add a 390 to the 290 and CF? Or get rid of the 290 and get a Fury X? I'm also 99% sure, that I need to upgrade the CPU, but which should I get of these:

Intel Core i7-6700K
Intel Core i7-6700
Intel Xeon E3-1231

Also, my current resolution is 1440p 60hz. I'm thinking about getting a 1440p 144hz though, but can a Fury X provide the power I need for that? Or would it be better to go for 290/390 CF?
Hope you can help me, thanks.

Solution
not sure how well the two generations would work together. I think the 390 is just an overclocked 290x. And games are actually moving *away* from sli/crossfire support lately.

the xeon is the most cost effective item, as it still uses DDR3, and doesn't overclock, so a basic board (like B85 or H97) is all you need, the Xeon E3 1231 v3 is basically an i7 4770 without the IGPU.

as for 144 Hz, nothing, not even two Furys pushes over 100 fps at 1440p in any current gen game, and they barely make playable fps at 4K. stick with 60 Hz in 1440p for at least this generation, which should work fine. next generation should make 144 Hz work at 1440p though.
1) no point n 1440p 144 Hz, nothing can push that hard anyway

2) the 8-core processor will be what you need for streaming, teh 1231 would be the cost cost effective (just need it and a B85/H87/H97 motherboard), the 290 should be ok for 1440p play, and the 390 isn't enough upgrade to matter. the Fury X will work, but $600+ on a gpu bugs me.

Thanks for your reply. So If I'm interested in 144hz, then I'm stuck with 1080p? A 24/25" will be too small for me, and I dont think I would manage to stare at 1080p in a 27".

Regarding the CPU, would you choose the Xeon or go for a i7? Also for the sake of future proofing a bit. Also, I wouldnt upgrade my 290 to a 390, I would buy a 390 and CF it with my 290, thats what I meant.
